616 Grand Productions and PJ DA DJ Sound & Entertainment has collaborated to host their first Karaoke Showdown -- a fun, interactive, and competitive event that will showcase Grand Rapids' local amateur and novice karaoke talent.
Contestants, will compete for the 1st place cash prize winning of $250. Now, while we don't recommend the winner quit their day job, they will walk away rich in pride, bragging rights and enough cash to put some gas in their tank and food in their fridge for the week!
So, if you've found your way to this site, then I am guessing you have some interest in attending, which is great. We need to fill the room with good people like yourself. So, please help spread the word and share this event info with your family, neighbors, colleagues, friends, and your friend's friends.
This will be a night to remember. You'll experience great food, awesome entertainment, music and dancing. What better way to spend your Memorial Day Eve anyway than with us; especially when you don't have to work the next morning (well, most us).

Embassy Suites by Hilton Grand Rapids
We are pleased to host this inaugural event in the beautiful ballroom of the Embassy Suites by Hilton --Grand Rapids' newest downtown hotel. The modern, all-suite hotel is located in the North district of Monroe. Within blocks of the hotel are several shops, restaurants and breweries and its situated along the Grand River. You'll enjoy the atmosphere of this luxurious space as it adorns a spacious balcony off of the ballroom that guests can enjoy.

Live - Interactive - The People's Choice
The event is intended to be fun and lively, so while we may have a few advanced karaoke singers in the showdown, we decided not to take ourselves too serious by seeking out professional judges. Instead, the audience (that's you) will participate in an interactive voting experience. As mentioned above, every vote counts.
THE VOTING PROCESS
Voting instructions will be provided on the night of the event.
Round 1: All twelve contestants will perform
Round 2: 5 winners will advance and perform
Round 3: 3 winners will advance and perform, and then the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners will be announced and awarded their prize.
PRIZE DESCRIPTION
1st Place:
$250 Cash and (2) VIP tickets to the Caribbean Summer Jam
2nd Place:
$100 Cash and (2) VIP tickets to the Caribbean Summer Jam
3rd Place:
$50 Cash and (2) VIP tickets to the Caribbean Summer Jam
